  1. Heat the oil in the frying pan.
  2. Add the chopped onions and all the whole spices and fry the onions until crisp and brown.
  3. Add the lamb and fry until you can"t see any red meat.
  4. Add turmeric powder, black pepper powder, zeera powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and saute well at this stage.
  5. Once you have suated that for 5 minutes add the garlic ginger paste and saute for 2 minutes.
  6. Now add salt and stir well for 5 minutes.
  7. Add a cup of water and let it boil then simmer it for 20 minutes.
  8. Now add the chopped gourd and simmer it for another 15 minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve it with hot chapati or white rice.
