Ingredients of Peppered Tofu

  1. You need to prepare of Processed tofu (danyar awara).
  2. Prepare of Oil for frying.
  3. Prepare of Scotch bonnet.
  4. You need to prepare of Onion.
  5. Prepare of Tomato paste.
  6. Prepare of Ginger n garlic paste.
  7. Prepare of Seasoning.
  8. Prepare Pinch of salt.
  9. You need to prepare of Spices (curry +black pepper powder).

Peppered Tofu instructions

  1. Cut tofu into medium cubes..
  2. Mixed little water with salt n seasoning cube, marinate tofu with d salt mixture for 10min then deep fry in hot oil, remove when golden brown and set aside..
  3. Grate ur Scotch bonnet, and slice ur onions..
  4. Put little oil in a pan and heat for few second, add onion n ginger n garlic paste, stir fry until translucent, add d blended scotch bonnet continue to fry for 4min, then add ur tomato paste n stir, add seasoning cube n spice..
  5. Stir and add water to form a thick soup cover d pot for 3min then open n add ur fried tofu, stir fry until the pepper stick to d tofu n d water dries up..
  6. Ur peppered tofu is ready, garnish with cocumber, carrot n cabbage if u like..
  7. Can be eaten alone or garnish with other dishes like white rice, jolof rice etc.
