- Prepare 600 ml of heavy or double cream.

- Prepare 3 of cinnamon sticks.
- Prepare 350 ml of vanilla spiced rum.
- You need to prepare 7 of large eggs.
- You need to prepare 200 g of granulated sugar.
Family favourite Christmas EggNog instructions
- Combine milk, cream, nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, and vanilla seeds and the pods into a large saucepan. Bring to the boil slowly then remove from the heat.
- Whisk the egg yolks and sugar together until thick ribons form, then slowly add and whish into the milk mixture.
- Add the Rum and continue slowly whisking with a hand whisk. Rum can be substitued for brandy..
- Allow to steep over night in the fridge.
- Sieve out the mixture removing the cinnamon and vanilla pods.
